INFOTECH's Transformer Reliability Improvement Solution Honored as a "2024 Typical Case of Quality Improvement in the Electronic Information Industry"
December 7th saw the convening of the 2024 Electronic Information Industry Development Conference in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, co-hosted by the China Electronic Information Industry Federation and the People's Government of Yancheng City. At the conference, the 2024 Typical Cases of Quality Improvement in the Electronic Information Industry was officially released, which included 20 typical cases under the category of "reliability improvement". Among them was the "Reliability Improvement Solution for UHV Converter Transformers Based on Photoacoustic Spectroscopy Gas Sensing Technology", an achievement independently R&D and promoted by Hubei Infotech System Technology Co., Ltd.
The Typical Cases of Quality Improvement in the Electronic Information Industry cover three dimensions: quality management capability, application of quality technological innovation, and reliability improvement. Selected and organized by the China Electronic Information Industry Federation under the deployment and guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, the case selection initiative aims to implement the national quality improvement strategy, further enhance the quality management capability of China's industry and information technology sector, raise the product reliability level, and summarize and promote a batch of outstanding achievements in quality improvement.
Against the backdrop of China's pursuit of the high-quality development goals of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", the Reliability Improvement Solution for UHV Converter Transformers Based on Photoacoustic Spectroscopy Gas Sensing Technology is a key R&D and application achievement of Infotech in the core technology of UHV safety monitoring, developed to meet the urgent needs of the national power and energy development strategy and the upgrading of intelligent operation and inspection of power grids. By means of accurate detection of dissolved gas in oil for oil-immersed power equipment such as large-scale high-voltage transformers and intelligent online analysis of equipment operation status, the solution is deeply applied to business scenarios including accurate oil and gas detection, condition perception, and operation and maintenance of power equipment.
Deployed in various power plants and power grid substations/converter stations across wide geographical areas and under harsh and complex environmental conditions, the solution has enabled a leap-forward upgrade in the perception of the safety status of power equipment—from passive alarm to proactive predictive early warning. It underpins the implementation of intelligent operation and inspection of power grids, improves the operational safety, reliability and economic efficiency of the power system, and stands as an outstanding practical solution for elevating the operational quality of power grids.
Up to now, the high-end monitoring devices associated with this award-winning solution have been put into mass application in more than one-third of China's UHV converter stations. Boasting reliable monitoring performance and remarkable application effects, the solution has greatly improved the reliability of core power transformation equipment of power grids and enhanced the safety and stability of power grid operation, thus safeguarding the high-quality operation of the entire power system and winning wide acclaim from customers in the power industry.
